ORIGINAL LONG sleep Bedwetting real time Lapse from 1- 7am wet twice (pull-ups goodnites diaper)
I figured out that my video camera had time lapse so I decided to try it out when sleeping. I am also a bed wetter (why I’m wearing Goodnites obviously lol) and also wanted to find out about when I wet. I found out from the video that I wet more than once in a night. I’ll try again soon with the camera at a better angle. It’s hard to get a good spot for the camera and a lot of times I end up moving the covers and blocking the camera. I think this one worked out pretty well.

How do you get a 5yr old to stop wetting the bed at night???
this child is potty trained. he is good during the day but comes bedtime,he doesn;t wake up to go bathroom instead he stays and wets the bed. When he feels the bed wet he just gets up changes his clothes and goes in his sister/brother or mother bed to sleep. please any advice.or is it to early for him to stop wetting the bed now?
I have treid using pull ups, but he somehow still find to wet the bed even with the pull ups on.
well some doctors give out different types of medication…
but DO NOT PUT HIM ON DDAVP OR ANY KIND OF PILL, OR NASAL SPRAY!! I had to go to the hospital for 2 days because of dehydration when I was on some of the bed wetting medications. also you can try waking him/her up before you go to bed, but don’t get him up 2-3 times a night. this will cause him to loose much needed sleep and will cause you to loose much needed sleep. limiting drinks goes back to the dehydration problem. if you limit them to much you will have more problems.
goodnites work wonders. I know what she is going through. I am 17 and I started wetting the bed last year when I was under a lot of stress. I was trying to find my first job, was in 4 leadership positions in community clubs, have parents that give me hell over any thing and every thing, was trying to get into college early (I did end up getting into college 2 years early at the community college), and many many other things were going on in my life. I am proof that stress causes bed wetting.
I can also say that withholding drinks, waking up in the night, medication, and the whole list of crazy things that people on this site suggest do not work. medication for bed wetting has some nasty side effects that are worse than the bed wetting (IE. vomiting, dehydration, ect…) and when you wake them up in the night they only loose sleep which makes them do worse in school, and sometimes makes the bed wetting worse. you can try counseling, but that has a very low rate of sucess.
what I have found to be the best solution is to wear goodnites to bed. these keep the mess down and are a very good way to handle the problem. give him time, and he will out grow it. ether he will get used to the stress and it will go away, or the stress will go away and the wetting with it. he will out grow it one way or another.
How do you stop an 11 year boy from bed wetting?
We have tried medication and even waking him at midnight to go for a pee yet he still manages to wet the bed.
"he manages to wet the bed" sounds like you think he’s doing it deliberately.
just give the boy underjams or goodnites, get a mattress protector, and wait it out. it’s not anything he can control and he’s tormented enough as it is.
one thing you might do is teach him how to do laundry – he might appreciate being able to wash his own sheets in privacy and you guys don’t really need to know if he’s wet the bed or not because it won’t change the outcome.
My 15 year old son has begun wetting the bed about 3-4 times per week for about the past 3 months?
He also sometimes wets himself during the daytime, maybe once every couple weeks. I’ve taken him to be checked by a doctor. There seems to be no physical / medical reason.
I’ve heard of kids who don’t stop wetting until their teens, but is it also common for a teen to begin a bed wetting problem again at this age?
Until we can get it figured-out, do you think it’s reasonable to have my son wear a youth size disposable diaper to bed at night?
I sleep in a diaper because i used to wet the bed. ask him about wearing one to sleep in. he might actually like the idea so he doesn’t make a mess of the bed all the time. i’d rather sleep in a diaper than wet the bed.
WHERE TO FIND A BED WETTING ALARM?
hi I am a 10 year old girl and i still wet the bed but when i usually spend the night at a friends or cousins i don’t wet the bed sometimes i do but not rarely and i always when i am at home i wet the bed I don’t even drink anything at night and go to the bathroom before bed and still wet the bed? where could i find a bed wetting alarm are there any at target?
They don’t usually sell them at stores like Target. The best way to get one is probably through your doctor (because they can give you specific guidance on how to use it, what to watch for, etc.) and most family doctors have probably dealt with them before at one point or another. You can also look on the internet, but beware of "programs" that charge you hundreds or thousands of dollars for essentially the same treatment as the alarm by itself could give you for much cheaper. One good (and reasonably priced) website that sells these alarms it http://www.bedwettingstore.com
Good luck!
What psychological problems cause bed wetting?
For example why would a young person regularly wet the bed up until they were about 10 years old, is there a reason behind this ?
Is it caused by trauma of some kind or an underlying sub-conscious problem that the person is unaware of ?
I would be interested to know if anyone can explain the reasons why this happens in early childhood.
Let me try to answer your question but it would be a lengthy one.So here it goes….
Bed wetting is usually due to a delay in the maturation of the part of the nervous system that controls bladder function.
Another cause for children who to urinate during the night may have be a deficiency of the antidiuretic hormone ADH. The presence of this hormone concentrates urine and prevents the bladder from filling up during sleep; it may be the result of an insufficient amount of this hormone.
Young children do not have a sufficiently mature signaling mechanism between the bladder and the brain to become aware of a full bladder. Consequently, they fail to wake up and consequently wet the bed.
Secondary bed wetting may be due to medical disorders, such as a urinary tract infection, urinary tract abnormalities, or diabetes.
Psychological issues, like death in the family, sexual abuse, extreme bullying etc may cause bed wetting as well but then it is considered a symptom of the disorder.
It has a psychological diagnosis code but it is not considered a psychological condition itself.
Daytime incontinence that is not associated with urinary infection or anatomic abnormalities is less common than nighttime incontinence and tends to disappear much earlier than the nighttime versions.
One possible cause of daytime incontinence is an overactive bladder. Many children with daytime incontinence have abnormal elimination habits, the most common being infrequent voiding and constipation
It may have a direct biological relative (parent or sibling) who has the disorder.
