You need to consult a doctor to make sure there are no medical issues with you. I know it can be embarrassing but there are a ton of people out there that wet the bed. See medical help first and if nothing wrong, you may want to think about wearing protection to bed. There are different types of adult diapers on the market that can help keep everything dry.

how to stop bed-wetting in teens?
First things first… Don’t let the teem hate themself for a problem that is truly beyond their control! Second thing, they are not alone. Many people have enuresis (wet the bed) past childhood.
Between 1% to 5% of teens also wet the bed. Now think about that and consider that as a rough estimate, in a school on one-thousand teens, between ten and fifty still suffer from enuresis.
It is an embarrassing problem, something difficult to manage, is generally a turn-off for dating, limits ability to travel or sleep over friends houses, etc; but it is not impossible to overcome.
There are options beyond diapers for the rest of their life… If they and their parents haven’t already, the teen needs to see a good doctor who specializes in enuresis. That doctor may order a host of tests, and it may take many appointments with many other doctors for additional tests. The goal is to check all of the possible mechanical problems, and if anything is found, to correct them there.
The doctor may also try certain medications which have been proved effective for enuresis. Any medications have risks, of course; but this is worthwhile to discuss with the doctor too.
Now, don’t let this stop their life. It can be managed and life be normal. I will say it again, they are not alone. About one-percent of kids grow up and keep wetting through adulthood, though I doubt you will. Even still, good habits and management now will be good for life.
Cheers!

teen bed wetting?
I’m 17 and still wet the bed every night. I don’t drink or eat 3-4 hours before bed. I tried bed wetting alarms. Even if I wake up, I can’t stop myself. I tried setting my alarm 2 times a night to get up and use the bathroom. I’s still wet the bed. A doctor prescribed Desmopresson (sp?). When I told him it didn’t work, he just increased the dosage. I ask my mom to take me to a specialist but she said no since she doesn’t want me to have to do a pelvic exam. After she said this, I feel like there is no hope. She thinks I will outgrow it. It could be my kidneys aren’t developed since I was born a month earlier than estimated. I wear underpants for adults with incontinence but my room smells like pee all the time. I leave the parental discussions about this to my mom. I don’t think my dad knows I wet the bed. He thinks the smell is the kitty litter which I neglect to clean to blame it on the cats. This upsets me so much but it’s better then him knowing. What else can I do? continued….
I procrastinate going to be every night. I’d rather stay awake all night then have to wake up having wet the bed. I hate wetting the bed and I wearing those damn underpants. I feel so ugly in them. I’m thankful they exist but I’m so sick of them. I try to stay in a positive attitude but I can’t stand it anymore. This is causing me to be depressed. I start crying every time I talk about it. Please help me. Is there a doctor out there I could email that could possibly help? Is there any natural supplement or OTC something? Foods? Anything! Please. Thank you in advance very much.
Masseur_at_Play- Thank you for your concern but my mother is a great one. She has taken me to many doctors as a child and a few recently. Doctors are expensive and we were w/o insurance for sometime so there have only been a few recently. The last two have only told me to keep doing all the things I mentioned that don’t work. My mom will get me all the medical help I need except a pelvic exam. Sorry if I wasn’t clear on that.
I forgot to add that both of my parents wet the bed until they were 13-14.
Bed wetting can actually be a psychological issue too, your mom might feel more comfortable letting you talk to one, it may help you with your anxiety which may contribute to the cause. Best of luck

Your body might be tired from fighting the flu so this may be a reason. However you should talk to your doctor to make sure your kidney’s are not being affected due to your illness. Please don’t be afraid or embarrass that is what your doctor is for and beside your must assist him by giving him information even if you may think that its silly because it may be utmost important..

My 15 year old son has begun wetting the bed about 3-4 times per week for about the past 3 months?
He also sometimes wets himself during the daytime, maybe once every couple weeks. I’ve taken him to be checked by a doctor. There seems to be no physical / medical reason.
I’ve heard of kids who don’t stop wetting until their teens, but is it also common for a teen to begin a bed wetting problem again at this age?
Until we can get it figured-out, do you think it’s reasonable to have my son wear a youth size disposable diaper to bed at night?
I sleep in a diaper because i used to wet the bed. ask him about wearing one to sleep in. he might actually like the idea so he doesn’t make a mess of the bed all the time. i’d rather sleep in a diaper than wet the bed.
